We book a block of time (usually 2 hours) to sit down and work together
Once we have a time confirmed, I send you some intro questions so I can best understand yours need and what you want to learn about.
I spend a couple hours delving into your current online media. I check Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and even your website.
Once I know what you have going on online, I use my education background to write a comprehensive lesson plan for our session.
I start the session by giving you an overview of what we are going over. I followup and ask for anything else you want to make sure you want to know.
I make sure your current platforms are up to date with information.
Q & A
Ask absolutely anything during our session. I do my best to answer or point to helpful resources.
At the end of the session, I ask you how often do you want to be reminded of what we learned today. I schedule 3 emails over the coming weeks to check in with you on progress.
What a customer has to say...
A kick-butt interior designer who is inspired by the idea of incorporating “work-life balance” into her work. You can learn more about her and her adorable dogs at her website or her LinkedIn.
“Shaily is energized and knowledgeable about social media and the importance of it in a small business person’s outreach and also the various components of the different platforms out there. She has hacks for every single one. She can filter what is applicable for most clients and provide a guideline about how to get caught up and get consistent information across all of [the platforms].
“She is every bit worth [the price] because she is bringing expertise to the table. The important thing is accountability. Ya, some person can dick around and figure out [social media] on their own. It’s the accountability that is the extra component that makes it so worth it because everything else gets lost in the shuffle and doesn’t get done. I really appreciated the emails and loved knowing I could refer back to them at any time.
“She helped organize me, kept me accountable with a to-do list, and she did lesson plans which I thought was so cool and organized. This was particularly meaningful because [Shaily] has a greater knowledge base about this stuff. [She] is teaching about the importance of social media, the tricks, and the order of the best way to do things. People like me have our expertise elsewhere, it’s so incredibly helpful because it can feel so overwhelming.
“What was helpful with [Shaily] is that it was about baby steps. It’s so overwhelming when you realize all the work you have to do but if you can just start with one step and another day start with another step, it helps alleviate the overwhelming feeling. We do get so consumed with our own work that it’s hard to have time to invest in our own marketing. It’s very normal for your own marketing to fall by the wayside when you are working so hard on your other clients, but you do have to remember to take that time to reinvest in your own work. That is what Shaily does, she helps provide accountability to reinvest in your own marketing.”

Let your friends all over the world join in your big day!
As someone with lots of friends and family overseas, it melted my heart to see a friend's wedding ceremony halfway around the world be broadcasted live on Periscope. My friend Dash knew exactly the value that a livestreamed wedding could bring to the guests that could not make it. So she asked her Periscope obsessed friend, me, to Facebook Live her wedding. The video went viral in our local community.
Hyping your Facebook friends with preview livestreams before the big day so they know to stay tuned a.k.a. "FB Takeover!"
Tagging all the key people in the live stream
Helping your loved ones share the post as soon as we are live
Engaging with your friends and family as the wedding is happening
Creating a wedding video that you can watch immediately after
Making memories to last a lifetime... or however long Facebook algorithms will let it.
Show your future attendees what they will expect
Followers will be notified when your FB page starts a live video
Though there is no replacement for having professional videographers record and edit your footage, live streams are ready for use shortly after they are produced.
"I was so impressed & blown away after I saw our first Women2Women FB Live of our launching event at evolveHer and didn't need to tell Shaily what to say or do. I merely said that the outcome was in telling the story. She did it beautifully by just being present & in the flow during the event & anticipating any moment.
I recommend her social media skills to anyone who's looking being on edge at their live events! Plus she's so much fun to work with!" (4/25/18)

Shaily has been running social media accounts for the last 5 years for various organizations and has been teaching and tutoring kids and adults for years beyond that. She is also a certified K-6 educator, who knew? She has the patience to work with you at your own pace and will not judge your starting point. She has specialized in motivational tutoring for kiddos and those skills are easily transferable to adults especially the more she gets to know you and what may be holding you back. Meet with her once for a crash course, or have regular weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly* sessions with her to help you stick to your needs. (*Ask about bulk autopay pricing)
But Shaily, what does a session like this cost? Sessions start at $237
What do you get for the money? We sit down for a 1-2 hour session depending on your schedule. You will get a few warm-up questions from Shaily via email in the days leading up to your session. Based on what you have told her your needs are, she will make an adaptable lesson plan to follow the day of. Though she cannot cover all your needs, Shaily does her best to make sure you leave with more information on your priority needs.
What to bring to the session:
The session works best if both you and Shaily have a computer in front of them.
What other clients asked Shaily:
Shaily has helped people with learning a new platform, inspiring ways business owners can engage past clients to keep the referral engine going, and has even sat down with them during that time to edit pages of her clients. I make sure that everyone I sit with leaves with something new up on at least one of their social media pages.
-Learning a specific platform (Facebook, LinkedIn, Medium, Quora, Twitter, and beyond)
-Setting up pages for you
-Deep dive into what you already have and what you can do better
-Setting up a posting schedule
-And more… Ask and I will let you know how I can help
Post Session Accountability:
What happens after? I hold you accountable. Before the session ends, I ask what is a realistic timeline to get done what you have set out for yourself. When I get home, I schedule a series of personalized emails to go out in the ideal intervals to remind you of what you hoped to accomplish. One customer said she needed to work on writing more blogs but only needed a reminder every 2-3 weeks. So I set that up for her. One client said she liked working on strict deadlines and procrastinating before sessions. I set up emails that emphasized the deadline being our next session. My customers can then respond to those emails with any updates or questions they had between sessions.
Scope and relationship beyond the session:
If you have purchased a session from me in the past month, I am happy to answer small questions that come up over time. I trust that you will use your business sense to ask within reason and will let you know if you ask too much. I am generally very open. *I am even more generous if I can reply to your email in a voice message.
Extra Check in Session:
If you booked a session within the last month, I am super flexible on spending time answering your questions over email. I am also available to one optional 30 - minute social media check-in call after the session included in the package. That expires within a month of each individual meeting.
I have included in this pricing. It's the time to get to where you prefer to meet. I live in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. I sometimes work out of an office near The Bean. Around once a week, I am out of a location in Lincolnshire, IL. I can drive to you if there is readily available free parking. I prefer not to go too far from these areas. Let’s chat and see if there is a great location that works for you that I can easily get to. I have found coworking spaces work well. Crowded coffee shops are a bit harder. Finding a space where we can both talk out loud without interrupting others around us is the goal.
I love payments over Zelle. Most major banks offer this service. It goes directly from your bank account to mine in a blink of an eye. Open up your banking app or web browser to Zelle and use this specific email as where you want to direct the payment: firstname.lastname@example.org (keep in mind that it may ask for an email or phone number, please only use this email)
I am happy to take physical checks or online checks mailed out through your bank account.
You can purchase on this website. I also have my PayPal set up under email@example.com. You can send money from your account to my account. I can also send an invoice where you can pay online. I may collect additional convenience fees for these options.
When did you start doing social media?
Unofficially, when I was running a Myspace group at 14 but no one called it social media at the time. Officially after college back in 2013. I have been working in the field ever since.
What hours are you generally available?
I am generally available weekdays between 9am-4pm central.
What is your cancelation policy?
I ask that you cancel 48 hours in advance if you cannot make the session. If you cancel within 24 hours, I reserve the right to charge for the full session. When I block out time for you, I have to say no to others. I set up my schedule to make sure I am in the best spot to serve you. I take this very seriously. I know things do come up. I try to be flexible and accommodating.
